On Sunday 25th January, we’ll return to a familiar Christmas reading from Isaiah chapter 9. It announces light and freedom for those walking in darkness.  This week we’ll move beyond Christmas associations and see our calling reflected in the first disciples.  We’ll also explore what Robert Burns can teach us about mission.

In Garelochhead, we’ll celebrate Cafe Church in the Gibson Hall.

You are welcome to join us in St Modan’s at 10am and in Craigrownie and the Gibson Hall, Garelochhead, at 11.30am.

The Book of Isaiah has four passages called the Servant Songs, which are beautiful poems about a person known as the ‘Servant of the Lord’. On Sunday 18th January, we will listen to the second song in Isaiah chapter 49. God’s servant was chosen by God even before they were born, then hidden and prepared for the task of restoring God’s people and shining as a light for all nations.

We will also think about our own lives. What might be hidden right now, and what is ready to be shown so that people can see more of who God is through us?

You are welcome to join us at St Modan’s at 10 am or at Craigrownie and the Gibson Hall in Garelochhead at 11.30 am.

On the Sunday 11th January in Craigrownie and St Modan’s we will be thinking about the hope humanity has been given in the gift of Jesus Christ, whose baptism we mark today. How might we share God’s hope in our communities?

In Garelochhead we will be moving to our new home in the Gibson Hall.

You will be warmly welcomed at any of our services in St Modan’s at 10.00 and in Craigrownie and the Gibson Hall at 11:30 a.m.
